Born in Epsom, home of the Derby, Guy grew up inside the daily, lived reality of British horse racing — a world his family has been actively involved in as jockeys, trainers, and horsemen for more than 220 years.

Today, he lives just 25 minutes from Newmarket, known simply as 'Headquarters' to everyone in the world of horseracing.

Guy learned to ride on a retired hurdler at Jack Holt's Hampshire yard and spent school holidays pitchforking hay bales for a forage merchant. He worked at the famous Manton Stables under George Todd, and at Aston Park Stud with star stallions Dominion, High Top, and Saritamer.

He spent ten years with the International Racing Bureau, being part of the team involved in the creation and evolution of the Breeders' Cup and Arlington Million, as well as the revitalisation of the three-day Aintree Festival of Racing, featuring the Grand National.

He later created and ran UTD Racing for more than two decades, providing data to major global owners, breeders, and trainers.

Before turning his hand to fiction, Guy experienced the intense, fast-moving worlds of international transport and live music — from working on horse-transport planes on multi-leg circuits to managing the legendary Dutch prog-rock band Focus on their UK tour.

Building on ten years as a national newspaper journalist, Guy brings deep media discipline, sharp observation, and atmospheric authenticity to his narrative craft.

His debut thriller, Stress Point, fuses more than two centuries of family turf lore, criminal history, high-stakes pressure, and metallurgy into a gripping series. He lives and writes in Suffolk, where he also runs his publishing imprint, UTD Books.
